One Thing - Music Video!

The music video for One Thing - out 13th February - premiered yesterday!

I can't wait to buy this!

The video is awesome and Liam and Zayn look hot, as ever.

Let's hope it doesn't do a Do You Feel What I Feel? by JLS, which was around #50 on iTunes for ages, yet when it got to release week, it only peaked at #16, cause people had already been buying the song.

See, that's not good. I think they should bring out all the singles before the album's release (the ones they are going to release as singles). It'd be beneficial for the band (make more money).

But then how will they maintain the album's sales? The singles promote the album, you can't just have them all before the album as it sort of defeats the point.

Well maybe only release 1 or 2 singles in total? I really don't know how it works.

Singles before the album help build up hype and keep them in the public eye whilst they finish of the album, then when that is released, singles released after that are to help sell the album. An album won't get played on the radio, a single will, so that's one way of promoting. Music videos are another, as are live performances at gigs/TV shows, and there's even more.

But I don't see the point in them releasing singles after the album's out. It wouldn't be as successful, as people would listen to the album version instead (but to support these guys; I have all their singles (to date)).

People cherry pick the song from the album, which is absolutely fine. It can hinder the peak position of the track, see Do You Feel What I Feel? by JLS, but the sales are no worse. Look at Kiss The Stars by Pixie Lott. That's at #6 on iTunes, before it's proper release date, and it's after the album release.

I'm waiting... to get YFH on Deluxe Edition from Amazon (when the price reduces).

Anyway, I'd better be off now.
